Atherton Place meets residents’ needs with a variety of living options and abundant amenities. Residents may choose an efficiency, one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartment. Enhanced Personal Care residents enjoy the same options, but receive higher levels of care delivered around the clock in their apartments by our Wellness Team members. A personalized Wellness Plan is created for all residents to address needs, goals and expectations.

Atherton Place Memory Care is a specialized program designed for residents who require cognitive support, including assistance with activities of daily living. Residents and family members can rest easy, knowing that WellStar Kennestone Hospital is literally around the corner.

Community amenities include a hair salon, sundries shop, outpatient physical therapy, social activities, trips, entertainment, pastoral care, covered parking, individual and group transportation, ceramics and crafts and overnight guest accommodations. Residents enjoy a free daytime membership to WellStar Health Place, a full-service fitness center located right next door.

  • Level 3: Level 1 and 2 services plus physical assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, repetitive daily reminders for cognition support, complex medication management, and escort to meals.

  • Level 4: Level 1, 2, and 3 services plus incontinence care, not including product.

Memory Care

All services and amenities of Senior Living, plus a fully customized care and enrichment program to support individual cognitive status—from forgetfulness to dementia—in a secure residential setting.
  • Memory Care Studio: Memory Care residents live in specially designed studio apartments on our second floor. Specially trained staff deliver all Memory Care services, including medication administration, assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry and housekeeping services, specialized activities, trips and exercise classes.
